Does This Sub Ohm Tank Fill The Sky With Clouds and Flavour?
The Augvape Skynet Pro sub ohm tank was a very quick follow up to its predecessor and this one takes double and triple mesh coils.
It’s a big boy at 25mm at the base and holding up 7.1ml e-liquid and features ‘triple’ bottom fed airflow and is the second stock coil tank to be released by Augvape the first being the Skynet without the ‘Pro’.
As you can see the Skynet Pro is available in just three colours – black – rainbow and the stainless steel I received.
Apart from mods like the awesome V200 and the Druga Foxy – the company is better known for RDAs and RTAs with the Druga RDA – the Intake RTA – the Templar RDAand my personal favourite the BTFC RDA being just a few of the very popular releases.
Right on with the review and this was sent to me directly from Augvape – thank you – and as always my thoughts and opinions are unswayed by freebies.

Key Features
This is a 25mm stock coil sub ohm tank with a generous out of the box e-liquid capacity of 7.1ml bubble glass with the option of popping on the included spare glass giving you a whopping 3.5mls!
It’s triple bottom airflow fed with a stopper meaning the ring doesn’t spin the full 360 and the O ring is tough enough even after plenty of use to keep your preferred setting in place.
There’s two coils in the kit both of which are mesh – the 0.2ohm double mesh coil with a range of 65-100w and the triple mesh coil which is 0.15ohm and is happy between 90-120w.
There’s only the frosted/clear drip dip in the box however it is very pleasant to vape on and looks good on the stainless steel version I received – other tips I’ve tried have fitted no bother.
It’s a top fill with two reasonably sized kidney shaped ports and the cap unscrews with ease.
Design and Build Quality
I’m on record as saying Augvape’s build is top notch on both their mods and indeed re-buildables and it’s the same with the Skynet Pro sub ohm tank.
final Skynet version
The machining is excellent with no marks or debris and the threads are very smooth indeed. It’s made from stainless steel and whilst thin and light – it does look like it will take some knocks.
The design is also a pro point – it really does look the business and bang on my no frills contemporary looks. As I always say for me at least less is more and this really is a stunning looking tank that sits flush on every mod I’ve tried. The lack of gawdy logos is a massive plus point for me and you have to admit this looks clean fresh and bloody gorgeous.
I like that frosted/clear drip tip too not only does it look great it sits in the mouth nicely and has a really wide bore meaning even with the airflow turned down you still get a mouthful of vapour.
So how does that vapour taste?
How Does the Augvape Skynet Pro Sub Ohm Tank Perform?
In a word ‘wonderfully’.
I gave up on stock coil sub ohm tanks quite a while ago now preferring RTAs and RDAs however this one has definitely piqued my interest in returning.
This has been with me for quite some time – apologies for the delay in the review – and I have used it every single day and really enjoyed the longevity of the coils – the flavour and the insane amount of vapour they chuck despite being relatively low powered.
Yeah I know 100w could be classed as high power however in this day and age with some stock coils needing 200w plus to get going – this one impresses maxing out at 100w and holds its own against many RTAs out there at ‘mid-range’ wattage.
on board the Druga Foxy mod
I’ll look at how each coil performs in a moment however a quick word on the lack of photos of it fully assembled! I did a New Year clean out of my packed to overflowing vape cupboard and managed to chuck out the plastic baggy the two used coils included in the kit were in after washing the bloody thing! My bad – however trust me with the coil fitted the tank looks even better
Incidentally the coils from the original are NOT compatible with the Pro however you can use FreeMax Mesh Pro coils in the new one – bonus!
0.2 Double Mesh Coil
I started off with this one and given it looked like there was a ton of cotton in there I primed the coil hard and left for 15 minutes.
I really needn’t have bothered leaving it to prime that long – that cotton sucked it up quick time and after just a few minutes the inner core was beautifully moist and wicked.
Despite that I was expecting a bit of a break in time. A lot of stock coils I’ve used in the past can take up to 3 fills before the cotton and coils ‘break in’. Not an issue here because from the first vape the flavour of the 12 Monkeys Tropika shone through.
missing coils oops!
I picked up all the same notes I get from some of the RTAs I use and when I say the clouds even at a lowly 75w were incredible that’s an understatement! This was cloud city and bumping it up to the max whilst I found it coped admirably and fogged my room out in seconds.
I did vape this at the max advised setting of 100w for a few puffs however the more I took the more I felt I was pushing it too far. Don’t get me wrong the flavour was on point and the vape was on the cool side of warm – instinct just told me it was too much if I kept going. I found a happy medium at 85w and that coil lasted 3 weeks of continual use before I had to swap it out…excellent.
0.15ohm Triple Mesh Coil
Once again the triple – like the double – was primed and ready to go in a couple of minutes despite the extra coil head!
I began this one at a steady 95w and once again the flavour was on point after just a couple of puffs – they’ve nailed the break in time of these coils to say the least.
The vapour off this was just crazy and bumping it up to 120w those clouds went on for months never mind days – stealthy this ain’t!
At the max of 120w I actually found the coil was asking for more and for fun and science tooted it at 140w for a few draws. It coped beautifully however rather than push my luck I dropped it down to 100w. I’m glad I did because even at that high temp it was still going strong at just over 3 weeks.
It’s a real shame I threw those coils out during my winter clean out just to show you that whilst there was a little browning – they still held their flavour profile…sorry ‘bout that!

Final Review Verdict – And Thoughts On The Original Skynet Tank
As I said at the start this is ‘quick follow-up’ to the original Skynet sub ohm tank arriving on the scene literally a couple of weeks after the first version was released.
I asked Augvape why this was the case and was simply told it was so it could be compatible with the double and triple coils. There’s your answer
BTW I have the original version [above] which is now cheap as chips and may do a review at some point, however what I will say is even with just single mesh coils it’s a cracking little tank well worth a punt at the current prices.
Myself and Michelle were asked to advise on and test the early prototypes of that particular sub ohm tank and it seems Augvape took many of our points on board – ooo get us two being all vape consultant and professional lol.
Skynet Protype and Pro Version
Seriously though the original holds its own very well indeed with superb flavour and excellent clouds – it really is a bargain on some websites and the coils last a bloody age – well worth adding to your collection
OK back to the Augvape Skynet Pro and I am seriously impressed. I work closely with Augvape and run the risk of gush festing over pretty much everything they release – though the Intake RTA wasn’t my cup of tea so I’m not simply a fan boy lol.
Yes it looks great but it’s those coils that make this old vaper smile – they are bloody awesome. Break in time is pretty much instantaneous – though please do prime and leave a wee while just in case – better safe than sorry lol.
The flavour is as good as some of the RTAs I’ve reviewed and as I keep saying those clouds are just mental!
I actually couldn’t find any Cons with this one and that pretty much sums it up – great piece of kit.
And it has to be said…’I’ll be back‘ for more of those coils…ouch
